RedBull Smart Display Fridge

Project Background
Since 2024, in an effort to enhance brand visibility and improve product sell-through at retail terminals, China T.C. Pharmaceutical Red Bull launched a smart display fridge upgrade initiative. The goal was to build intelligent terminals that integrate product display, monitoring, and data analytics into one unified system.

Solution
The SenseUni team collaborated closely with Red Bull to deliver a tailored smart display fridge solution. The system integrates AIoT sensing modules with a cloud-based data platform, enabling real-time data collection and centralized management of fridge operations and product display status.

Traditional vending machines typically require users to prepay via coins or QR code, after which mechanical systems dispense the selected product.

such machines often suffer from operational inefficiencies, limited product variety, frequent malfunctions, and poor user experience.

In response to the growing demand for seamless and intelligent retail experiences, our team launched a next-generation AIoT-powered smart vending cabinet solution. This solution aims to enhance convenience, improve operational efficiency, and enable fully automated, flexible retail.




The Solution


Consumers simply scan a QR code using Alipay or WeChat to unlock the cabinet door. 

They can then freely take any item inside — including beverages, snacks, toys, or daily essentials.

During the process, an internal camera records the interaction, and our embedded AI algorithms accurately recognize the items removed. The system calculates the total amount and automatically pushes the order to the user for seamless payment deduction.


This solution integrates image recognition, IoT connectivity, cloud computing, and intelligent billing into a single platform, offering high user freedom and precise backend control.



Implementation Results


The smart vending cabinets have already been widely deployed across major Chinese cities, including transportation hubs, office buildings, residential communities, and shopping malls. The open-access experience and AI-powered billing significantly boost user engagement and purchase conversion rates.

Since 2024, SenseUni has partnered with GrosirOne to launch a large-scale AIoT-powered advertising screen project across Indonesia. As a leading local distribution company, GrosirOne operates an extensive wholesale network covering numerous high-traffic traditional markets. The collaboration aimed to integrate intelligent advertising infrastructure into these physical retail environments.
